The Unbearable Lightheadedness of Being Leon H. Wolf

Many years ago (at least to you young’uns whose idea of ancient history is when MTV played music videos), the late actor Richard Harris used to make the occasional record, ofttimes penning the songs himself. One such composition was titled “There Are Too Many Saviours On My Cross.” It was a poem with musical backing:

While Harris was talking about the then-raging conflict in Northern Ireland, the title stands as a stark reminder of how we have, and need, only one Savior. All others need not apply.

Including those who take it upon themselves to save us from ourselves.

One such individual, Leon H. Wolf, scribbled today in RedState (no link; they don’t deserve it) a self-identified epic philippic devoted to decrying Sarah Palin, with choice descriptions such as “ridiculous act” and “delusions-of-persecution laden statements” hurled against her for having the audacity to not yet have made an announcement as to whether she’s running for the Presidency in 2012. Why, the nerve of that woman! Doesn’t she know what the sacred polls say? Republicans don’t want her! They want… wait for it…

RICK PERRY!

You know, the guy who thumbed his nose at the Republican party in Iowa by announcing he was running at the… oh, where was that again…

… oh, wait, that’s right…

… the RedState gathering held a few weekends ago in South Carolina.

You know, the same gathering where nominal head of RedState Erick Erickson (the real rulers is Eagle Media, the site’s owner) viciously slandered Jamie Radtke, who’s running for a U.S. Senate seat in Virginia, while letting it slip his puppet masters at Eagle had let him know they were BFFs with Radtke’s primary opponent George Allen?

And we’re supposed to take anything posted in RedState seriously?

Sorry, but we’re not nearly that lightheaded.

We also don’t need the Leon H. Wolf’s of this world swooping in to save us from ourselves.

We do need Sarah Palin and fellow common-sense conservatives to reject the self-appointed attempting to tell us what to think via their slander against Sarah.

Wolf makes it all the more apparent how great is that need.
