Earlier today, in a post Stacy McCain made this observation:
Why are Perry’s defenders so doggone defensive?
It’s a good question. A possible answer:
Palinophobia.
Examples? Sure. Ace’s raw hatred of Sarah was mentioned last week. It continued unabated today, tweet after tweet vomiting his irrational rants against her, focusing on accusing her of the same kind of crony capitalism she had charged Perry with after last night’s debate. Michelle Malkin did a thorough job of debunking his line of “reason,” yet he ranted on. And on, and on and on. Pathetic.
Ace isn’t alone, of course. Erick Erickson, puppethead leader of RedState, felt compelled last month when there was confusion over whether Sarah would be speaking at an Iowa tea party gathering to retweet a snarky comment by his fellow Perrywinkle Joshua Trevino, who proceeded to throw a temper tantrum and wrap himself in false piety when called out by Lisa Graas over the tweet’s decidedly offensive tone for Catholics.
One has to wonder why these prattling little children become so hysterical over the mere mention of Sarah’s name. What inadequacy are they attempting to hide? What is the real source of their anger which they vent at someone who consistently espouses the same conservative principals they claim to uphold? Only they know. And frankly, they’re not worth the effort of investigating to reveal the root cause of their paranoia.

LOL I hadn’t thought about it, but Ace really is starting to sound like Redstate, or Patterico, or LGF. They all need to take their meds, imho.
